FLATLOCK CLADDING AUSTRALIA
WHAT IS FLATLOCK CLADDING?
Flatlock panels interlock to form a flush, flexible, and thin facade. The system can also be installed backwards, resulting in deeper express lines; this is known as Reversed Flatlock.
Flat lock panel is a wall cladding technology that creates an almost flat look by overlapping metal panels. The rain-screen series includes the Flat lock panel system (weather resistant, ventilated wall cladding installed over a waterproofing membrane). Flat lock panels are distinguished by a longitudinal seam on a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal bias, making them a basic yet elegant cladding solution.

INSTALLATION
All profiles should be placed by a qualified and experienced cladding installer, according to Cladding Walls Australia. Cladding Walls Australia offers all complimentary flashings and cappings.
A construction grade substrate is required for all Flatlock and Recessed Flatlock applications. When working with zinc, a 20 mm continuous ventilation gap beneath the substrate is required on wall cladding applications, and a 40 mm gap is required on roof installations (note that this is just for zinc). Before laying cladding panels, the substrate should be encased with a moisture-proof membrane. Flatlock and Recessed Flatlock panels should be secured using approved countersunk screws.
